Canyoning means walking, climbing, sliding, jumping and abseiling through steep streambeds and gorges – an outdoor adventure close to nature and packed with experiences. At Badis Adventures we have been guiding people through the most beautiful gorges of Salzburg, Upper Austria, Friuli and Ticino for more than 25 years.
How does a canyoning tour work?
- Meeting point & briefing (approx. 30 min): welcome, safety briefing, putting on the equipment (wetsuit, helmet, climbing harness)
- Approach (10–20 min): short walk to the gorge entrance
- The gorge experience (2–4 h): jumps, water slides, abseils, swimming sections – always with a trained guide
- Descent & changing (20–30 min)

We provide: wetsuit, helmet, climbing harness, all safety equipment, a state-certified canyoning guide, insurance.
You bring: swimming trunks/swimsuit, towel, dry change of clothes. We provide canyoning shoes with non-slip soles and neoprene socks.

Is canyoning safe?
Yes, with a reputable provider. In Austria, commercial canyoning may only be run by state-certified canyoning guides. All our active guides are state-certified, our equipment comes from premium manufacturers (Petzl, Edelrid, Camaro), and we assess the weather and water levels before every tour.
